Why Mindsets Matter

There are two types on mindsets:

  • Fixed Mindset: People with a fixed mindset believe that these qualities are inborn, fixed, and unchangeable.
  • Growth Mindset: Those with a growth mindset, on the other hand, believe that these abilities can be developed and strengthened by way of commitment and hard work.

Your mindset plays a critical role in how you cope with life’s challenges. In the gym, a growth mindset can contribute to greater achievements and increased efforts, therefore helping you reach and achieve your health and fitness goals quicker. When facing a problem such as trying to perform a new movement, people with growth mindsets show greater resilience. They are more likely to persevere in the face of setbacks while those with fixed mindsets are more liable to give up.

In order to change your mindset type you must learn to fall in the love with the process of Training and Clean eating habits, as you will not be perfect straight away and it is important that you understand that you will GROW in your abilities within the gym and that it is a learning experience and it takes consistency and time. 

Remember Rome wasn’t built in a day, if you get knocked down get straight back up and fight another round.  A positive mindset with the right coaching and tools will help you achieve your health and fitness goals.

Believe in yourself and know that you are worth it. You are not destined to be who you have always been or who negative people keep telling you that you are. Break the mould and set new heights for your self and that will all start with a positive mindset…
